I had the privilege of photographing an intimate wedding at Palm Grove followed by larger reception where family and friends celebrated the new marriage. There was so much that I loved about Palm Grove: the tree-lined road, the beautiful house, the charming chapel and the gorgeous pond. I can't wait to go back...it is a photographer's paradise.

Hidden away in a grove of native Fort Bend County trees, Palm Grove lives in the shadow of the now famous Pecan Grove community. Just a 10 minute carriage ride from Pecan Grove, the ride, almost to the dead-end of crooked skinner road is like a flashback 50 or more years. A creek runs beside the road most of the way, with barns, horses and donkeys taking you back to yesteryear. An idyllic setting for celebrations you can barely imagine; think of your special occasion and invision the uninterrupted peace and tranquility of your goal, and the memories that will be created.

Construct your celebration with the pieces that fit. Maximum capacity is 125 people at Palm Grove. A cozy chapel is nestled among the trees. Consider an antebellum plantation home that oozes history, tradition and southern charm. A clubhouse with all of the amenities to serve a celebratory meal to a dozen or up to 125 guests. A perfect circle pond, that corresponds to the un-ending love, sits just a stone`s throw from the clubhouse.

A lake sits among all of our structures being the lifeblood of the future. The pier and the adjacent area (best place to put up a giant tent) are like arms reaching out to you, just a dozen steps from the clubhouse.
Move the pieces around to build the stage for your perfect day.

Palm Grove at Old South Plantation is filled with history and lore of the South. The centerpiece of Palm Grove is the Old South Plantation home from 1880. A magnificent two-story house with a traditional huge porch. This elegant home has always been the scene for action with Confederate re-enactments and seaches for ghosts that are rumored to be returning in a hunt for buried gold. The estate of Bert Winston, Palm Grove at Old South Plantation is just a few minutes down winding skinner lane from Pecan Grove.
